Program, (
NVIP)
improves the ability
of law enforcement to quickly and
accurately identify specific motor vehicles
in an effort to combat vehicle theft.
NVIP
promotes the use of vehicle identification technology
and provides rewards for information that helps solve auto
theft crimes.
NVIP
will pay $1,000 to anyone providing
information that results in the recovery of an
NVIP-registered
vehicle and the conviction of the thief.

In the event that a vehicle registered with NVIP
is ever stolen, it is automatically submitted to
StolenCarReports - The Nation's
Neighborhood Watch for Stolen Vehicles.
